ANALYZER, BLOOD GAS
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description.
This Commercial Item Description covers the requirements for a portable automatic blood gas analyzer suitable for use in a field environment.
Salient Characteristics:
Shall be an automatic portable cartridge-based technology blood gas/electrolyte analyzer. The disposable cartridge pack shall contain all electrodes, calibrating solutions and gases plus waste bag for processed blood and calibrating and QC solutions. The cartridge pack shall eliminate the need for gas tanks, external solutions and membrane maintenance. The weight of the instrument shall not exceed 30 pounds.
Shall be capable of measuring and calculating the following parameters:

Shall perform a complete analysis on a 0.5cc whole blood sample.
Shall be capable of automatically performing two-point calibrations every hour and one-point calibrations every 120 seconds.
